I was too stunned to speak. So at this point, we just tried disregarding everything since the food was pretty solid. The poor (assuming new) food runner guy was also lost with tables, so clearly the restaurant is understaffed. We eventually got them and slid the coleslaw onto my plate. No worries, we just wanted the fries subbed. The community bread is a must getting here! My friend, however, asked for a substitution of the coleslaw for fries instead, and to our surprise (not really a surprise at this point), waitress didn't put the substitution down. things?īreads and soups were awesome per usual, as they usually have these staples at other locations. Constantly reminder her to bring out another of. We started off with drinks, and just got waters, and I had asked for two straws. We tried making small talk with the server, and she seemed a bit stressed- understandable, since it was so packed.
For one, I was very stunned knowing that our server didn't wear a mask? I guess it's not enforced at GAR restaurants? That was a yellow flag, but whatever. Once we got sat (the hostess was probably the most pleasant person there to be honest), that's when things got relatively downhill. We waited about 15 minutes, but it honestly wasn't a big deal. But I simply *cannot* because of our chaotic experience. I really wanted to like this place because a couple of other GAR restaurants has exceeded my expectations.
